Play, Activity & Leisure Ireland
Our mission

Protect, support and strengthen Ireland's leisure sector.

PALI was founded because no one else was speaking for play, activity and leisure operators. Our mandate is simple: make it viable, safe and respected to run one of these businesses in Ireland.

  • Founded 2019
  • Not-for-profit
  • 120+ member venues
  • Member-led mandate
Three pillars

What the mission means in practice.

Protect

Secure access to affordable insurance, defend members against disproportionate claims culture, and push for legislative reform that reflects how the sector actually operates.

Support

Give every operator the templates, training, compliance guidance and peer advice they'd otherwise pay a consultant for, included in membership.

Strengthen

Raise the standard of the whole sector so families trust it, insurers underwrite it and government listens to it.

Our commitments

The promises we hold ourselves to.

These aren't aspirations, they're the operating rules members hold the board accountable to at every AGM.

  • Every priority set by members, not by staff or consultants
  • Not-for-profit, subscriptions reinvested into the sector
  • Published annual report and financials each year
  • A compliance bar every member venue must meet
  • One phone number, answered by people who know the sector
  • Independent of any single insurer, broker or supplier
